EarthMoments presents Afro-Cuban Percussion Vol. 01, an extensive collection of rhythms and grooves originating from the Caribbean Island of Cuba. The island’s rich history has led to the melting pot of African, Taíno, and Spanish musical traditions.
The results are energetic rhythms such as Tumbao, Bembé, Nanigo, Nyabinghi and many more which are all featured throughout this expansive pack.
The South of India, a sonic epicenter where music is often less a performance art form reserved exclusively for the stage, more an extension of daily existence, an everyday reality. As a predominantly oral music tradition passed on from generation to generation, children are taught by their mothers, fathers, grandparents, learning to live and breathe their music more than merely just playing it.
Earth, Water, Fire, Wind, and Space inspire creation in an entirely new way this time, by taking the form and shape of musical instruments. EarthMoments is proud to present 5Elements, an innovative library of instruments inspired by the very elements that make our world, made for Kontakt and the free Kontakt Player.
Early this year, EarthMoments launched a series of virtual instruments called 5Elements, which features 8 unique handmade instruments crafted and designed by Svaram Musical Instruments & Research situated in Auroville, South India. We caught up with Aurelio C. Hammer, founder of Svaram to tell us all about his inspiration behind creating musical instruments.
